The Worm Moon Collection

The Worm Moon is the first full moon in March; it is a time of rebirth and renewal. The soil begins to warm and the earthworms emerge as we transition from winter dormancy to the yang of spring.

This collection is made with an ancient Baltic technique called obvara. The hot pot is pulled out of the kiln and dipped in a solution of fermented flour water. The process scalds dynamic markings on the surface of the pot. Each piece is unique and determined by the interplay of the elements. The pieces are decorative and not water tight.

The Intertidal Collection

The intertidal zone represents the liminal space between two worlds. It is the clash where water meets earth. It is the narrow margin between the seen and unseen, the form and formless.

This work aims at balancing beauty and function, the sacred and the everyday. The pieces are functional and food safe.
